OVERVIEW:
The Weekend of Enlightenment is the first outdoor festival in Northeast Florida designed to offer its participants an opportunity to involve themselves in a variety of holistic living and metaphysical concepts.. During the 2½ day weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to select from over 40 individual workshop sessions. Subject material will include classes in New Thought and Spirituality, Meditation, Alternative Health, Metaphysics, Naturism and Green Living.

LOCATION:
The host for this weekend educational awakening is Hidden River Resort which is located 14 miles north of Macclenny, Florida on the St. Marys River bordering Georgia and Florida. Hidden River Resort, an 88 acres clothing optional nature park, is an ideal setting for this venue as its quiet and unhurried setting compliments the subject material being presented. Camping will be available and is encouraged for participants as programs will be offered at the night and in the early morning. However, hotel accommodations are available in Macclenny.

Note: While Hidden River Resort normally operates as a clothing optional facility this is not a naturist event but a holistic life event that involves the teachings of many spiritual, metaphysical and health related subjects. Hidden River Resort will continue to operate as clothing optional facility in specific areas of the park (swimming pool and remote river beach areas). All sessions and vending areas will have a clothing requirement.

WORKSHOP PROGRAMING:
The Weekend of Enlightenment is a 2½ day event with sessions beginning on Friday at 1:00 pm and concluding on Sunday at 4:00 pm. Each workshop session will be approximately one hour in length with 30 minute breaks between sessions. As many as three workshop classes may be offered concurrently with some classes being repeated at other times so attendees will have greater freedom to attend a class if there is a conflict in time.

SPECIAL SATURDAY EVENING CONCERT:

Elaine Silver, A.K.A. "Faerie" Elaine, appearing Saturday afternoon, is a seasoned performer, touring musician and recording artist with a voice you’ll never forget. It has been described as stunningly clear, supple, rich and like fine crystal.

She has completed her studies in the Science of Mind for practitionership through Religious Science International and for many years she has combined her beautiful voice and lively spirit with metaphysical teachings to present healing concerts, workshops and ritual. She utilizes energies of the heart, body, mind and spirit, as well as some refreshing humor and a sprinkling of magic, for a delightful and deeply sacred experience.

Elaine has worked with many famous metaphysical authors including Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsh (Conversations With God), don Miguel Ruiz (The Four Agreements), Marianne Williamson (A Woman's Worth), Alan Cohen and Wayne Dyer. She has also shared the stage with many of the world’s brightest folk stars including Arlo Guthrie, Doc Watson, David Bromberg, Richie Havens, Louden Wainright III, Willie Dixon and Steve Forbert.
